Details

A stunning cobalt blue Phillips’ Milk of Magnesia bottle, mouth-blown and embossed, has been thoughtfully mounted onto a piece of reclaimed natural wood using a hand-shaped copper strap and solid brass screws.

This early to mid-20th century apothecary bottle is embossed with: “Milk of Magnesia”, “The Chas. H. Phillips Chemical Company”, and “Glenbrook, Conn.”

The deep blue glass and classic embossed design make this both a statement piece and a slice of pharmaceutical history. It can be used functionally as a small vase for dried or fresh clippings, or hung as a unique decorative object.

The pale, unstained wood backboard highlights the vibrant blue glass, bringing a modern farmhouse contrast to the antique bottle’s age-worn charm. This piece is equipped with a sawtooth hanger on the reverse for immediate hanging.
