Details

This vintage Rockmount Ranch Wear shirt is a Porter Wagoner-inspired piece from the 1970s, designed for youth and adorned with chainstitch embroidery, rhinestones, and desert iconography. The front showcases palm trees, saguaros, and agave framed in green piping, while the back features a fully embroidered covered wagon drawn in red, white, and blue. The collar and cuffs are framed with five-point stars and wagon wheels — references to Western stagewear, scaled down for a smaller silhouette.

Crafted from black cotton twill, the shirt is tailored in Rockmount’s signature Western cut, with pearl snaps, piped chest pockets, and pointed yokes. Neon green trim accentuates the shape, while rhinestones dot the embroidery like desert dew. This piece was likely produced in the mid-to-late 1970s and reflects the influence of country music television, rodeo culture, and early Americana revival. Excellent vintage condition with minor signs of age.

Sized Youth M (ages 5–7), this shirt is a rare example of Western wear crafted with the same care and flamboyance as adult styles. A collector’s piece — equally suited for display, dress-up, or handing down.
