Iridescent Apothecary Wall Vase | 8” x 5.5” | c. 1890s–1920s
Details
A luminous, antique apothecary bottle with subtle iridescence and naturally formed air bubbles, mounted to a richly stained pine backing with solid copper and brass hardware. The bottle’s surface shows the faint pearlescence and organic texture characteristic of century-old hand-blown glass.
Once likely used to hold tinctures or medicinal oils, this repurposed vessel now serves as a small wall-mounted vase which is ideal for a few stems, wildflowers, or dried arrangements. Its clear glass catches and scatters light, making it a subtle focal point in kitchens, bathrooms, hallways, or studios.
The mounting bracket is hand-shaped copper, affixed with brass screws, and the entire piece hangs flush to the wall via a sawtooth hanger on the reverse. A minimal, practical display that’s equal parts utility and history.
